The Annual
Carl Kahn Horseshoe Championship of the World is the ultimate
horseshoe tossin' competition and social event of the year, held each
year on the beach at Donner Lake. Amateur (or less-than-amateur)
horseshoe tossin' men and women come from all over the country to attend
this occasion.
What
to expect: Horseshoe tossin', turkey fryin', beer drinkin' and catchin'
up with friends.
Note:
This is NOT a professional sports event and
there are no cash prizes... this is just a reunion for a bunch of good
folks getting together once a year to catch up on life, enjoy good sportsmanship
while playing some 'shoes, drinking beer and eating turkey!
No pros or interlopers allowed (unless you're a friend or a friend of
a friend, of course!)
This tournament
is double-elimination; there will be a men's bracket and a women's bracket.
Prior to attendance, please review The
Rules as we have had a number of veterans and neophytes who
have already broken a couple of 'em!
Donations
of morning "eye openers" such as Bloody Marys, mimosas, screwdrivers
and good old fashioned java are always welcome. Please come prepared.
